How to Find Your Special Verse, Part 3

Really, this should be titled "What to do with your special verse". Hopefully, you've spent some time in God's word lately (or maybe you've got a date with the Big Guy this weekend), and you have your special verse. First of all, I want to know it!!! Tell us!!!

When God has something to say to you, it's kind of a big deal. And we are humans with amnesia. We forget things that you just wouldn't believe.  Truly, one day we are deeply moved by the Spirit and the next day we're pounding the pavement, trying to accomplish everything on our own. We forget that God has spoken to us with reassurance, comfort, or made a promise. So the first thing we should do is memorize your verse. What you know by heart is what you know. Write it down on a notecard if that helps. One thing that has really helped me with my verse memory is the Bible Minded App.

Write it on your walls. There are lots of great independent shops that feature scripture. Maybe your verse is featured or could be if you contacted the store owner. Here's a few faves of mine.

I've just started doing watercolor portraits that are downloadable where you can tell me your verse and I'll have it printed on there and email it to you.

Another idea that I've seen done is a tattoo! If you're into ink, that could be cool.

I am dying to know what your verse is. I said I would share mine today, but the story is too long. I'm art journaling it this weekend and I'll share next week. I hope this has been a helpful little exercise for you. There is nothing more special than tuning your heart to the Spirits and reading the Bible. Nothing like it.

  1. For the last few years mine has been Galatians 9:6 "So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up."
