Paint and Paint and Paint

I am so so so tired of painting, you guys! Like so so tired of painting. So this weekend we went to Fredericksburg. Alison met us up there for a work week. Cleaning, painting, and shopping (punctuated by the occasion patio retreat). We painted the dining room turquoise. On one hand it's kind of fun. On the other hand, it sort of totally clashes with the mellow vibe of the rest of the house.

It's a bit bright. Like maybe the wrong shade? Should we go grayer blue? We're kind of thinking of greying the whole house and doing color like crazy with art and furniture and accessories. It's right next to the kitchen, which we painted a really comfortable shade of grey. Is comfortable a color? It's just soothing and clean looking. And I love how every other color looks next to it. Except maybe this particular shade of blue. I tried to bring some blues into the kitchen so it would look a little more connected.

What do you think? Change the blue to a different grayer blue or grey out the whole house? Is that boring or sophisticated? We need help. And also friends with paint rollers. :)
